Why I Started Building with AI

The first time I used an AI tool to build something real, I realized the gap between idea and execution had collapsed. I'm not a programmer in the traditional sense. I don't write code from scratch. But I direct, I architect, and I build — using tools like Claude Code that turn intent into working software.

This site is one of those builds. Every section, every interaction, every piece of the admin panel was directed and built using AI-assisted development. The financial reporting agent I built at Westpak works the same way: I knew what the business needed, I understood the data architecture, and I used AI to bridge the gap between vision and implementation.

The question isn't whether AI will change how we build things. It already has. The question is whether you're building with it yet.
